Dementia Action Week 2024
There were events held each day in Rutland during the recent Dementia Action Week (13-19 May) to raise awareness of dementia and the local support services available. Healthwatch Rutland supported an event held at The Falcon Hotel in Uppingham organised by The Rotary Club, in partnership with Uppingham Surgery Patient Participation Group.
The garden terrace was packed with representatives from local support services for people to chat with and receive information. We were able to listen to people’s feedback in relation to their experiences with health and social care and signpost to a variety of services for support.

- Rutland County Council Admiral Nurses
- The Longhurst Group
- Leicestershire Musical Memory Box
- Age UK
