Healthwatch Rutland responds to Health and Wellbeing Strategy Consultation
The consultation on a new draft Health and Wellbeing Strategy for Rutland has now closed.
The Healthwatch Rutland response to the strategy draws upon research and engagement work that we have carried out over the last 3 years, asking people about their experiences and expectations of health and care services.
The Board also takes the opportunity to highlight our strong commitment to ensuring that:
- services to improve the health and wellbeing of people in Rutland are provided fairly and tackle the genuine health inequalties we have in the county
- the key element of timing is central to action plans so that care closer to home facilities are operational before other services are moved further away during acute and maternity reconfigurations
- people are at the centre of all plans and their lived experience is drawn upon to co-design new approaches and pathways to provide better local care in Rutland
