What is Healthwatch?
When Healthwatch Rutland ran a Stakeholder Perceptions survey earlier this year, our aim was to find out how the organisations we work with in the NHS, social care and voluntary sector view our work and effectiveness as a patient champion.
The answer on the whole was very positive with 94% of respondents agreeing that “Healthwatch Rutland is a trusted partner that my organisation wants to work with”.
Other comments however, did show that a few stakeholders did not fully understand Healthwatch and what we do.
To help, we put together a short paper to explain Healthwatch Rutland’s role and how we operate. The paper also explains the relationship between us as a local Healthwatch organisation with the national body Healthwatch England.
But why confine this to a stakeholder audience only when others might be interested to read it?
