Patients asked to share views on out-of-hours healthcare services
Urgent Care Services offer Nurse and GP appointments when GP practices are closed on weekday evenings, at weekends, and on Bank Holidays.
The proposed changes, which include plans to open a new urgent care centre in the Blaby district area and revise opening hours of existing urgent care services, are designed to make services easier to navigate for patients and make best use of NHS resources.
All patients in East Leicestershire and Rutland are being asked for their views on the proposals, so that the commissioners can better understand their needs and how any changes would affect them.
A survey is available to complete online until Tuesday 24 July 2018, the results of which will be used to help shape the services.
In addition, the CCG will run two information events for the public in July, one for Blaby and one for Rutland:
- Tuesday 3 July 2018, 10m – 12.30pm at Brockington College, Blaby Road, Enderby, Blaby LE19 4AQ
- Thursday 12 July, 2-4.30pm at the Gover Conference Room, Rutland Community Hub, Lands’ End Way, Oakham LE15 6RB
