Healthwatch Rutland, the independent champion for health and social care in the county, is holding their Annual Meeting this week. All are welcome at the meeting, which takes place on Wednesday 11 September, 1.30-3.30pm in the Gover Conference room at the Rutland Community Hub: Lands’ End Way, Oakham, LE15 6RB.
At the meeting, we will be welcoming Dr Hilary Fox, Accountable Clinical Director of the new Rutland Primary Care Network as our guest speaker, to be followed by a question and answer session and round table discussions.
Also on the agenda will be highlights of our recent “What would you do?” public engagement campaign. More than 200 Rutland residents took part in our surveys or focus groups in the Spring to tell us what matters the most to them when it comes to health and care services. People shared their experiences and ideas about how the health and care system locally could improve, and this has been shared with the Better Care Together team (the regional health and care partnership) to help shape services as part of the new NHS Long Term Plan.
The annual meeting will be followed by the Healthwatch Rutland board meeting in public from 4-5pm. You are warmly invited to join us; please let us know if you can come by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
